Fireworks all cancelled around here due to torrential rain.

Firework shows in the south are most commonly canceled or banned due to the lack of rain, but that doesn't always prevent people from having their own shows.

This is possibly from my conservative American upbringing, but I always felt sympathetic towards Guy

What did you all do?

Phil and I went for a walk to a bonfire display, got lost, missed it but saw lots of good ones in the sky then came home for baked potatoes and V for Vendetta. Saturday I went to Batersea Park show with my friend Jan That was amazing, they were set to music which was posh (sadly mainstream crap mostly!) but did stop you hearing a lot of the firework noises and make people refrain from ooohs and aaahs!
