Today just feels like an off day.

I hate how certain folks I work with are very anal about having things/getting things done super fast...like they need it yesterday. I mean seriously people relax. Nothing you or I do here is that urgent. I have ten days to do the reports. Damn right I'm taking the full ten days.

^^ They need to lay off the Red Bull! (or whatever they're imbibing that gives them inflated senses of self-importance)

My boss just went off to Borders to complain about how their coupon didn't print correctly. He wants to tell them, with his tremendous wealth of computer experience, that "someone programmed it incorrectly!" Had he waited a moment for me to have a look at it, I could have told him the coupon was only good at borders.com.

^^That had me laughing so hard I started to cough incessantly, and one of my coworkers ran in here to see if I was alright.

I really want my next tattoo. Only problem is I don't have the money for it. My tattoo guy is already doing it for only $75 when it should be $500 but I still don't have that kind of money. I wonder if I can get him to do it for me and then I pay him later.

I'm seriously considering getting the iPad.
Michael put the idea in my head. I'm not a fan of lugging my laptop around.
I unplug it in the morning to put in the bag. Carry it to work. Then to Michael's. Then plug in all the stuff. Use it. Unplug it all and put it away. Bring it home. Then pull out everything and plug it in again. Not a big deal but annoying. And on days I don't bring it, i use my iPod touch which is annoying sometimes with the small screen. So Michael says for me to buy it and I can leave my laptop a home. Very tempting.

Warmer weather, the good side: I was able to take off my tights once I got to work. The bad side: It's a little more obvious now how short my dress is.

^^Dontcha hate it when that happens? I have several dresses that are that awkward length. They look great with tights, but with bare legs...forget it! I think Is hould get a few pairs of capri length leggings for those dresses.

^^ Yeah! It takes some chutzpah to pull it off, and I haven't got it today. I chickened out and put my tights back on. In the summer, I can get away with the look, but now it's a little early.

edit: shouldn't have put them back on; I just snagged them. :/

^^ But there's no one just like you. Comparison isn't fair... remember that no one's got your unique blend of qualities. (So in a way, *they* can't measure up to *you.*)

Maybe this is weird, but when I feel like I'm less smart or less attractive than someone else, I try to remember the things about me that the other person hasn't got (and maybe even wishes they had). It reminds me that comparisons like those are always going to be apples-to-oranges. Being unique does give you an edge.

I just feel really funny.

I'm so glad I get out of work early today.

Too bad it's to go to the doctor.

It's such a nice day out. But for some reason today feels odd.
