Before me
This man
Of poetry
Embodied boldness
Sapphire crystalline
Fragments of fire
Engulfing the energy
Creating wonder
And joy within
Passionate soul
Igniting my own
A wind of brilliance
To pass upon my flesh
And a voice of sunlight
Dancing through the nights

The words we speak
And the meanings we interpret
Impersonal & unfeeling
Burning chills through my mind
Leaking a trail of frost as blue as those eyes
The things we forget to mention
As part of the relationship falters
Like the skip of my heart-beat
Or lack there-of
As we bring the confusion to light
Only to remain in the dark
Upon the days of misconstrued
And loud, f**king silence
I wait for you
While I should question my actions
And my whispers upon the wind
You stare into your coffee
Threading the moments together
Only to wait for them to fall apart
The time-threader, heart-mender
Man with an infinite to-do list
I wait for you as I never thought I'd do
