The next one to get stabbed in the chest in the next X-Men film by Wolverine may be Donald Duck. There are obviously mixed feelings about how this deal may effect marvels readership and fans, but what do you think are some of the pros and cons of this action?

Man, $4 billion! We know somebody that's not hurting here.

I don't think that they'll mess with the adultness of the Marvel charaters. I think there's way too much money to be had leaving them as they are. Parents that don't care about villians getting killed off will still support financial purchases for themselves as well as for their children. I might have more doubts about this if they didn't already have Miramax films.


I think I read somewhere too that this was speculated as an attempt by Disney to get more male gender interests. mm... This could though possible be an opportunity to bring more female characters into Marvel.. at!

I expect further comic movies will be ending with fluffy and happy endings.

Cyn has pointed out Miramax Films; the producer of Frida, The Boy In The Stripped Pyjamas, There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men, Kill Bill, Master and Commander, Gangs of New York, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, The Others among many others. This is proof enough that if someone is owned by The Mouse doesn't immediately need to have Uncle Walt's touch.
