So, I've already seen City of Lost Children, Gene Generation, and Perfect Creature (Steampunk and vampires? brilliant!!) Can anyone recommend more steampunk-ish movies?

The Time Machine (60's version) and Time Bandits (I guess, it's been a while since I've seen it)

Wouldn't they have had to film a steam-punk film on a steam-punk camera, which wouldn't work but look cool being "used"?

All they would have to do is to suit it up to look steampunk.

Wild Wild West is definetly one awesome Steampunk-ish movie.

Looking back, "Back to the Future 3" is steam punk-ish to a degree in addition to maybe 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

I hate the term steam-punk, but if you're looking for the atheistically pleasing style of gears, cogs, and machine-like mechanisms working in some fantastical world, then I think there is no better film then the visually stunning: Dark City.
