The man served his time and still they wouldn't let him go until they knew he was dying. I don't care about what he did in the past, he's an old, dying man and deserves to be treated with a certain amount of respect.

It would appear that we have progressed no further with penal reform. Revenge is, as always, their answer and not the rehabilitation that people need

I'm surprised they have 3 guards watching over him given the fact they give him no hopes of getting better and that he's 80. Although I suppose some 80 year olds are in able condition to escape or what have you, but not in his condition.

If he makes it to his birthday I wonder if he has anyone to spend it with and not just alone.
