I'm not a 'glass half full' type of person by any means La Diva, but I have to say, be thankful that you have decent wig stores.
I live an hour and a half outside of Tampa and hate to go there, which is why I rarely go. I'd hate to drive all that way and their wig stores suck.
The town where I live has NO decent wig shops. The ones they do have cater to all the old women and not only are they expensive, but they don't have any sort of variety.
I am allergic to nylon, synthetic and acrylic so I can't wear a regular wig, not even with one of those caps things because the elastic is raw (not covered) and you guessed it, I'm allergic to elastic too.
With that said, I have to wear headband wigs (the ones with the soft, cloth headbands sewn in to them) and NO place around here carries them. They are special order and expensive.
The one beauty supply store that carries head band wigs obviously doesn't think that there is such a thing as a variety of them (I had a fabulous one a few years back that was cornrowed) and all of theirs are long.
Well, the long hair makes me break out. I need a bobbed headband wig or short cornrows.
I have seen tons of wigs online that I like, but I don't buy anything online without being able to try it on first.
So basically what I'm saying in this ramble is, just be thankful that you have a decent wig shop in town, even if they lack manners.
I think that's an issue all over.

| My husband & his dad are building our new deck this weekend. Which is wonderful -- I hope to help out if I can do it w/o injury (tiny wrists). He (husband) has been a bear to deal with since the project began, though, esp. after the inspector vetoed his original plan. Can't wait for the weekend to be over, I hate to say it. He did make noise about getting massages for us both once the project's done (I pulled a few muscles clearing out the old rock garden last week)... I'll just have to make sure he makes good on that.  |
