| Figures, the only ones that would find Poe attractive and sexy are born a 100 years after he died. _________________ I'm a werewolf, not a vampire! |

The bunny was made through lost wax casting and is aluminum. The body was cast from a piece of ginger.
The belt buckle was made with a sand cast mold, and the fastenings on the back were welded on. The welding left a pretty great heat patina! |

| I like the pendant and those corsets are so lush.Whenever you post something it always makes me regret that I'm not more into DIY. _________________ ”Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy." ~H. L. Mencken

| Just finished my regency-inspired formal wear:

Sorry, the pics are dark. I tried to lighten them without making them look too bad. But black velvet on the jacket just absorbs light a lot. |

| Thanks Ghost and Vampira :-)
Vampira, I would love to but I don't have any formal training and I really am not interested in attending college for things that I either already know how to do, or could learn on my own. I'd love to start my own online store like so many other goth designers/labels. I'm not very business minded so I would either need to learn all of that myself or find a trustworthy person to run that end of things for me.
It's something that absolutely terrifies me! lol |

| ^^ Bah training such a cruel word. You’ve got an amazing talent and you can tell by the detailing in the clothing that you put alot of effort into it. The thought of running a business makes me terrified too! I could never do anything like that.
Well in the not to distant future I would be honoured to one day wear one of your creations!

I'd be happy to email you some of my designs if you want to pick one! lol
The only thing that would be tricky is the fitting... |

| Albina--- Trust me, from what I can see, you need no formal training. I have been formally trained (BA in fashion design), and you look like you are a better seamstress than I! I am actually planning on starting my own online store sometime in the future. I think its not as difficult as you think! I would love to share designs sometime! |

wow! I have always wanted to make a corset.
Does it cinch your waist, or is it more like a tub top? |

Thank you Ghost...I needed that :-)
I had an idea to scan all my designs and start a private photobucket album or something, that people could only see if I gave them the password. I wonder if that would work? |

| I just pretty much finished this. It's the first thing I've sewn on a machine, and I'm pretty happy with it. I think I miscalculated with the waist though, as it was omfg huge compared to the waistband. I ended up teaching myself how to ruffle, using zig-zag and some cord. I still have to hem it though, but I'll do that in a few days time. Um... I'm also thinking about putting some decoration on it. It ties up on the sides with a white ribbon, so I can wear it over my corsets if I want to. It also took so long D: I started it at 8pm, and finished it at 4:30am. I hope to get faster at it. Anyway, so its just the skirt. It's very plain. Not the petticoat or anything else. I do want to make a petticoat to match it later on though, when I get better at all this sewing stuff. Oh, and my machine is weird. On the needle plate, it has the lines, but it doesn't tell you what distances they are. D: |

| Gorgeous outfit!... Looks like you did a great job on that skirt! And of...marking out those toesies n' face of yours!!! tsk..tsk..tsk...Neither of my two sewing machines have seam markings on their needle plates. If you need them you could measure off and mark them on a piece of tape and put it on there. ehh... you don't really want to go getting the finish messed up. It's really one of those things that you can get used to after awhile, judging the inches, it won't take long. They're mostly just to help you keep a straight line though. Thanks for the pic! |
