wow! I have always wanted to make a corset.
Does it cinch your waist, or is it more like a tub top? |
A Tudor/Elizabethan corset makes your torso into a tub, plus it is also good for posture.
I understand what each type of corset is supposed to do, but if you make one yourself does it actually work well compared to one made from a specialty store of online boutique???? |

| I love your lunchbox/purse Ginger its so beautiful. You did such an excellent job on it. I finished off the two on the left last night. :)Sorry they are kind of hard to see , if I use flash its too bright. But the black one is a cameo that I painted black and used black seed and tube bead to make the necklace part. o.k. I took better pics Three chain necklace Black cameo (which I am keeping for myself because I know I have an outfit that would go wonderful with it ) And a present for one of my friends in England.

It will, reasonably. The shaping of the corset is dependent upon how the pieces are cut and where the boning is placed (and some construction techniques). Of course the first corset you make might be a little interesting but as you make more and get more practice they will turn out better. |

| I'm really glad my octopus necklace sold. I'm hoping these earrings will be next. But I'm not hoping too hard. If they don't sell, I might just have to keep them! |

| I've been a busy little bee lately, getting ready for RadCon. I apologize in advance for crappy cell phone pictures (my camera is broken). Here are some of the prizes for the room party I am having: Necklace (comes with a bracelet): Necklace and earrings (the earrings are hanging on either side of the necklace centerpiece): One top hat (can't find the pic of the other one): Things for me to wear: Shrug made from a burgundy stretch velvet shirt. I pleated black organza ribbon and added that to the collar, and replaced the buttons. Another shrug made from a cute little black puff-sleeved button down shirt that just didn't fit me quite right. The fabric has different textured stripes in the weave. I didn't do anything with the buttons, at least yet :-) From another shirt I never wear anymore, I cut off the collar and cuffs, and added sparkly rhinestone buttons. |
