Loved the rose tutorial! But those hideous white talons of hers were distracting! I like that her little note at the end asking people to respect her choice of keep long nails. Whatever.
The wig one was pretty interesting too. But having bought and worn wigs myself, I think I would use a more substantial base than the net wig cap. Still an excellent tutorial, though. I think I'll try it out myself next time I have some time to kill. |

Ah, that site looks like fun! Wish I had more time for these, too, but also more energy. Trying to work up some energy now to do some jewelry projects. |

| I just finished embossing 7 yards of velvet... for those of you who may be interested in the process, this is a good tutorial:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Emboss-Velvet-with-Rubber-Stamps-and-a-Household-I/
I carved my own stamps (some art/craft stores carry stamp rubber and carving tools. If you have a Blick nearby, they carry those items.) Just be careful to not let anything other than the flat part of the iron touch the stamp! I carelessly let the edge of the iron touch the stamp, and melted part of it. |

| Haha, it's fine. For my first yard, nothing lined up properly, and I melted a bit of the velvet (I'm used to working exclusively with plant fibers, so out of habit I set my iron to the highest setting...) |
