| Most goth magazines tend to focus more on music than anything else and people just stop buying them. That's what happened to Alternative. |

| I used to subscribe to Drop Dead Magazine. When it first came out it focused on Goth, Punk, Death Rock, New Wave, Industrial, etc. music with some cool DIY projects, but then out of nowhere it became a pretentious "art rock" publication. |

| I used to like The Sentimentalist years ago, but it looks like it's completely changed now.
I get a little frustrated with GB because it's close to being a whole lot better than it is. I think the editing team is maybe too insular; they need content from a variety of sources. |

| They had a forum where they could contact and find out about all aspects of gothic culture directly from their reader base. But then they canned it. Now they are just as distanced from the scene than any other mag. |

| Anyone is welcome at any time to submit anything Goth related to my magazine, Twisted Dreams.
I'm always looking for great and unique content.
My guidelines seem to focus more on Horror but that's because I never get any good Gothic type content.

| I just found this magazine called Auxiliary, and it's like 1,000 better than Gothic Beauty! You can download it for free, or buy paper copies http://auxiliarymagazine.com/issue-5-august-09/download/ |

| Twisted Dreams is still open for October submissions. Come on people, I know there has to be some interesting people on here that want to submit! Send me some Gothic styled subs! For those who have never heard of my magazine, it is a 100% professional PRINT (it is not an online magazine!) publication. Should you wish, you can also download it for pennies if you prefer e-mags to killing trees. Each issue is a full color glossy cover (front and back) and you definitely get your money's worth. Most mags are at least $10 an issue. Not mine! Mine are between $7-8 and are over 100 pages with everything from short stories to band info, to movie and music reviews, to interviews with interesting (truly interesting - not the same old re-hashed crap you see in many magazines, re-written and with different fonts) people. Example...many of you have seen the Priceline commercials with William Shatner and his big and menacing sidekick, No Fee. Well, No Fee's name is actually David Figlioli and I saw him in the movie Rock Monster, and decided to interview him. A gentle man and such a sweetie in contrast to the characters he plays in movies and TV (he's also been on Law and Order as a baddie) his interview is in the October issue. If you want variety...then you want Twisted Dreams. Okay, sales pitch done. |
