Split Ends Casting "bad girl" look
The Emmy Nominated show is looking for girls who want to change up their "bad girl" look! if you are a gothic , punk, biker, rocker or body builder girl who wants to "GLAM UP" her look we want you! we want to make you look pretty and red carpet ready! facial piercings are a plus!!!!!!!! if you are open to cut and color and a new GLAMOURS look for free (make over worth hundreds of dollars) plus we give you $50 bucks...please submit right away!Split Ends Casting "bad girl" look
I guess I just don't understand why people assume people who dress somewhat diffrently or have diffrent asthetics would really want to change their look. I can't say that fifty dollars is much incentive either. _________________ ”Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy." ~H. L. Mencken

| I am too. I think I was most offended by the we want to make you look pretty part. That was inexscusable in my opinion, everyone is pretty to someone else doesn't matter if they know it or not. _________________ ”Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy." ~H. L. Mencken

Yeah, that bit was pretty stomach-turning! "Pretty" by whose standards? And you're right, I believe -- everyone is beautiful to someone else, in a number of different ways.
Ginger is right as well -- someone truly secure in their look, and (by extension) with who they are, won't be tempted by junk like that. |

| This just follows in the vein of the stereotype that all "gothic" girls want a make over to fit in, and all the dopey teens films since Breakfast Club have done their best at the end of the film to show her all "classy and happy". Boo I say, boo. How about they take their existing style and revamp it to make it red-carpet-ready. |

Sounds like sarcasm, but it's not. Manson's music helped me acknowledge the anger I was once afraid to face. |

| Re: the article Cyn found about Evan Rachel Wood: She's from the area where I live now, and I recently read a writeup on her and her father and brother, all of whom are in acting. I have no doubt that dating Manson was a healthy thing for her and helped her grow as a person -- her father, from the sounds of it (and from what I've seen of him when he's not acting), is a complete megalomaniac. Good for her for finally finding her voice. |

| My ex girlfriend was on a show called Miss Naked Beauty in the UK. They had a similar setup but they just contacted alternative modelling agencies for a lot of models and then got a few and pretty much just made them all look like the same boring people you see on the street.
Made them take out hundreds of dollars worth of piercings gave them all bad haircuts and tried to erase all individuality from them all.
My ex was really the only one who refused to go all the way with their demands. |

| Well, the application time ends today for that casting call. Only two applied and one one has votes.
It's the mother of 4 with little to no alternative look to her. |

| I can see them using a mainstream gal to begin with, making her up to look the ""bad girl"" and then back once again to more mainstreamish. |

| That was almost painful to read. I feel bad for the poor girl that will eventually get dragged into this. >_> After all 'goth' is such a boring old look. No, we don't dress this way because we like it, we dress this way because we hate it and can't wait for someone with "good taste" to come along and change us. (Sarcasm all the way.) |

Why is it so important to some people what other's do, how they dress, what kind of lipstick they wear, etc, etc?
So they feel the need to "fix" them????
Sheeple conformity and it's terrifying... |
