| President Barack Obama named Sonia Sotomayor, a judge on the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, as his Supreme Court nominee Tuesday. "My heart today is bursting with gratitude," Sotomayor said after Obama's introduction. If confirmed, Sotomayor would be the first Hispanic member of the court.
