| Man Marries PillowTrue love can take many forms. In this case, it has taken the form of a Korean man falling in love with, and eventually marrying, a large pillow with a picture of a woman on it.
Lee Jin-gyu fell for his 'dakimakura' - a kind of large, huggable pillow from Japan, often with a picture of a popular anime character printed on the side. In Lee's case, his beloved pillow has an image of Fate Testarossa, from the 'magical girl' anime series Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.
Now the 28-year-old otaku (a Japanese term that roughly translates to somewhere between 'obsessive' and 'nerd') has wed the pillow in a special ceremony, after fitting it out with a wedding dress for the service in front of a local priest. Their nuptials were eagerly chronicled by the local media. 'He is completely obsessed with this pillow and takes it everywhere,' said one friend. 'They go out to the park or the funfair where it will go on all the rides with him. Then when he goes out to eat he takes it with him and it gets its own seat and its own meal,' they added. The pillow marriage is not the first similarly-themed unusual marriage in recent times - it comes after a Japanese otaku married his virtual girlfriend Nene Anegasaki, a character who only exists in the Nintendo DS game Love Plus, last November. videoI always find these stories fascinating(that's why so many of them are here in the relationships subforum. I do wonder if this is a modern sort of thing as I don't know of any hisotircal cases of this being documented(with the exception of ghost marriages). _________________ @themorrigan1972 |

| How weird that they fall for material objects. What kind of comfort can they get? _________________ |

| Well, this is not so uncommon, except people don't usually marry the object. _________________ I'm a werewolf, not a vampire! |

| One guy married his "girlfriend," which was just a character in a Nintendo DS game.
There seems to be some backing behind getting a law into making the marriage to comic book characters legal, too.
I don't know what it is over in that hemisphere. _________________ We are Toy Soldiers marching for the cause, to build robots and babies with buzzsaws. It's the grand master plan, a Utopian Playland. |

| O.o;
Does this mean I can marry the Coca-Cola label? I love Coke dearly. I always have. If that doesn't pan out, my pirate boots are always waiting in the wings. Though, I wonder if that would be considered polygamy...? _________________ |

| You see, when people criticize gay marriage saying that allowing it would open up a crazy can of worms, they must be sure that it will lead to men marrying pillows and video games!
Haha- sorry, couldn't help myself! |

| So I could marry an ottoman or a tea-cozy, but it's debatable whether I'm allowed to marry another human-being if they have the same kind of genitals as I do? FTW. _________________ |

Bingo. That is the infuriating aspect of this issue. |

| Not what is to happen if he should start beating the pillow? Would it be considered abuse? Can you go to jail for beating up your pillow wife? Just wondering. _________________ She's sees a handsome horse and rider pass she says " That man's gonna be my death 'cause he's all I ever wanted in my life" ~ EA

| Costco does carry a Yoplait smoothie mix (triple berry--raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry) that is really really good. _________________ I'm a werewolf, not a vampire! |
