I don't want today to end mainly because I don't want to go to work tomorrow. It feels like my time off isn't nearly enough anymore.

So little to do and so much time...wait, scratch that, reverse it.

Grandma went into the nursing home a year ago this week. Can't remember exactly which day, but I have an email from Mom's cousin dating from this week in '09 and talking about her progress upon entering the home.

It's... it feels like limbo, knowing she's alive but I can't chat w/her and even if I did we wouldn't be able to communicate like before.

A friend recommended a book to me, The 36 Hour Day, about the (typical) thought processes of someone with dementia. I got it this weekend and will read it with hopes of better understanding what Grandma is feeling now.

1) Working out on the treadmill today kicked my behind. I normally hold on to the sides at a certain point, but my aunt having gotten her degree for being a gym teacher told me to try not holding on to the sides at any point to see if it improves my work out and weight loss. Let's just say even starting out lowering my usual number by .3 it kicked my behind and I definately felt it a lot more.

2) I read about this weight loss trick that supposedly helped this woman lost 9 lbs and 3 inches off of her stomach in a week. She drank two glasses of blueberry juice a day and that was it. They recommended trying to eat healthy but said it wasn't a requirement. It might just take a little longer if you don't. The article also said if you use equal parts of green tea with the juice it should help even more because it adds more antioxidents. I'm thinking I might try this starting tomorrow or wednesday. That way I can go to my weight watchers meeting with my client, see where I am, and then see what the juice does after one week without changing my eating habits. I will let you all know the results.

I woke up semi bored, its gonna be one of those kind of days. Think I might go out for a bit, its 79 now kind of hot I'll wait until later on around 3-ish it should be cooler then and things are still open. Then again I might just stay in and not deal with the heat at all, guess I'll just have to wait and see what I do...

^^The article was in womans world. My moms friend had the magazine and I picked it up to see what it had to say. I don't believe in miracle diet cures, but this one sounded interesting so that's why I wanted to try it out.

mouse it acting shakey, might be time to think about a new one

me and my coworker were talking yesterday about how it's the end of July already. He said it was crazy and I agreed and added in how It feels like my b-day was just yesterday..though 18 doesn't feel different from 19. Then he said "ya, but it's your last year as a teenager"

That struck me as odd cause thing is, I've never felt like a teenager. I don't feel like a teenager and at times i'm amazed i'm only 19. I'm not boasting or anything but I'm so much more mature than others my age it's insane. I dunno. just that thought's been on my mind. and it's kinda random.

I show up and my mom isn't home. Come to find out her friend took her out for red lobster. Funny how that works when she tells me she has no money.

I just realized i'm over a thousand post...wow.

^^Thanks dh. I love talking to you. I would just be afraid of waking you up because I am normally up until 4am and those wee hours are when I like talking to people.

lol, well, we are in a different time zone, so it might be a bit more workable...but I dont even know what the time difference is..one, two hours?

^^If you are in new york then there shouldn't be a time change. If you go towards chicago then it starts from and hour and up.

My boss can't whistle. I mean he's physically able to, but only 2 notes come out. It's kinda sad when he whistles along to the radio; he sounds like a... bad homemade flute.

Well we didn't go to sears which I'm happy about. We went to meijers and target. The list of things that I got was 2 towels, 2 wash clothes, 2 hand towels, a dinner wear set, 2 pillows, some streach pants, a lamp, and my bed set. I'm taking a dvd player, cups, mincer, and pan. I still need a spatuala and such, tv and silverwear. I probably some chairs and laundry stuff but I will get that when I get there.

One more day...

My boss came in to work today wearing black pants and a dark blue shirt. This man regularly wears light colored khakis with white or light blush shirts. What inspired the sudden change? He looks good!

It's matts day off. So this will hopefully be a day I get to see him. I haven't seen him since last week thursday. We have a lot we have to talk about and I need to make a list of all the things I still don't have that I need for my apartment.

So glad it's Friday. Hope hubby and I can go see our pal Mary this weekend!
