Poi/Fire dancing

I wasn't sure where to put this, but... yeah. This thread is for things that are fire dancing related.

I'm hoping to learn it eventually, but I need to work on my belly dancing first.

So far, I found this series on how to spin poi.

Poi/Staff fire spinning is amazing. The group here in Omaha does it & a few select performers around the neighborhood. Very fun to photograph as well!

^^^Do you have a webiste for them or anything? Most the places I was finding were on the coasts.

The only site I know of for them is their myspace page. Shows have kind of tapered off recently...but there are lots of photos if anything.

^^^Danke. Yesterday, my belly dance teachers had a show in Omaha with some of the troupes there. She said she'd ask around for me. If anyone would know their contact info, the belly dance troupes probably would.
